Cool Story Bro: A Random Inspiring Drunken Conversation About Filmmaking…

It has been quite a long while since I’ve down any alcoholic drinks down my throat. I hardly drink these days and most people would look at me weird because I’m not the biggest fan of it. Although I don’t mind a couple of glasses of a few alcoholic beverages, I have this strong passionate hate for beer. It tastes something like the devil’s piss (and don’t ask how I know what the devil’s piss tastes like).

Random Thought..

So I’m watching this thing on TV on how to finger a man’s booty hole. What’s peak is that the remote’s battery just died. This is very awkward :(

Random Thought..

‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ is much better than ‘Watch The Throne’.

Could “Holograms” Be The New Thing To Take Out On Tour?

Sunday really brought us something rather historical in the music world as we saw legendary Californian artists Dr. Dre and Snoop bring out the holographic image of the deceased rapper, Tupac Shakur, which instantly became one of the most talked about topics around the world. It was not long after the Coachella gig that I read something saying that Snoop and Dre are considering taking the holographic Tupac on tour with them. Although it’s not been made an official announcement and nobody from both Dre and Snoop’s side have mentioned anything about this since the gig on Sunday, I am in both minds about this whole thing and even bringing back (other) deceased artists to live at performances.

FXCK YOUR THEORIES, FXCK YOUR CONSPIRACIES!!

So with one of the biggest musical highlights happening on Sunday at Coachella, which saw the late great Californian rapper Tupac Shakur reincarnated as the virtual self performing on stage with Snoop, already I’m seeing a new wave of bullshit that’s just returned.. Yup.. Tupac conspiracy theories.. by Tupac fans that just won’t let the man rest in peace ¬_¬

Love, Life and the Internet: Facebook & Relationships

Are we so consumed by these social-networking sites on the internet that we MUST state our personal lives and brag and boast about who we are with or seeing? This was a random thought I have had in my mind for quite a while, which I’ve written before but touched up a little. The question is, is a relationship really official once it has been updated on Facebook? And must everything we do, people we see be published online like everybody in the world cares that much?

Culture Comparisons: Rock Life & Hipster Life

Over the few recent years, I have started to gain more knowledge and a better understanding of different types of social groups around me and places that I am usually around, which has also then introduced me to a wave of different cultures, music, style and most certainly, lifestyles, which were different to the lifestyle and tastes of mine, me being a young black male growing up and around the Grime era, which gave us, especially as young people a new culture, sound and identity.. Which was then perceived by the media as a quite negative movement due to the overwhelming amount of material (particularly in music) promoting guns, gangs and violence. As a teenager growing up in Camden (north west London), not only was I exposed to this culture which seemed fascinating to me at the time, but I was also accepting and adapting to my own local area, which made me, as a young black person, feel and stand out because I was different to many others, especially within the black community. What made me feel and seem different was my open-minded interest in a variety of different cultures, both popular and some not so known.

I really need my hands on my own Mac and an SLR camera so I can get to work.

Not having those and using a slow as fuck computer really hurts my life, especially when I’m trying to work and network with other creative talents for photography/video and their clothing and even music.

Response..

I agree, I don’t believe the government controls it, they’re just puppets, its the people with the power and money above the gov.. How is Maltese media different?

It was different because they was showing you what was really happening and how often. For example, the problems happening in countries such as Israel, Iraq and more.. When I was down, it was covered all the time, it was constantly updated and you got to see what’s going on. The British media (I can’t really speak for the rest of the western media yet) are aware of the wars, the fights in many countries yet they don’t cover it. So to a lot of people, they only know of these things only when it’s being covered. Not much was covered about Kony or even the murder of Trayvon Martin yet elsewhere, it’s all over the place. Which then makes me think do the media really care about the world, or do they just cover what can bring them a big audience?

Response..

I do, I agree with what you’re saying. Who do you ultimately believe controls the media then?

I don’t even know who exactly. Some say government. Some say the Illuminati (if they really exist). I say those that control money are the ones that also control the media as money can make anyone do anything. The western media is so different to the media elsewhere. When I was in Malta back in 2007, it really opened my eyes on media and the reality of it all.

My ask box has been going on like it’s Honesty Hour.. And to be honest, I don’t mind being honest with you guys.

Random Thought..

Maybe I should do vlogs seeing as I can have my daily random rants and get my message across. Not to be funny like Jerry Lavigne jr or Hotdamnirock, but just to talk real shit to your ears that people need to realise, that people feel and can relate to.. maybe with a twist.

What do you think?

Busy With The Writing…

So recently, I have been uninspired with writing and had quite a lot of other things going on in my life. I’m back on track but really focusing on writing stuff a bit more, especially as I’ve heard some good feedback about this blog and some attention by a couple of magazines and all, which is a good look.

I’m still working on some ideas for my projects, which I’m just looking forwards to producing. I’ve got some contacts who I may be approaching who I truly admire and think would be quite beneficial to collaboratively work with, especially when I want one of the creative minds to build up their name and fan base over here in the UK.

I just need to make things happen and get work done and out there.
