My Quick Thought On Bin Laden’s Death..

I woke up to the most unexpected news a few hours ago to hear that the world’s most wanted man in the last 10 years had been found and found dead. My honest reaction when I heard the news was “I’m glad that they found him and justice has been served.” But after watching everybody on my timeline on Twitter tweet some stuff, it made me think, is the war on terrorism really over?
Just by reading tweets and watching video clips of people celebrating his death, I realised how cold-hearted people can be. I’m not speaking in support of the terrorist attacks that occurred within the last 10 years that has been linked to the Muslim extremists. I am pretty appalled at the fact that people are celebrating somebody’s death. It’s funny to think that some of those doing it are the ones that say they will never wish death on nobody, but are quick to go out in the streets with their nation’s flag celebrating death. I understand that he was a terrorist. He was an evil man. But regardless of how evil he was, I don’t believe that his death should be celebrated. I do respect all those who have lost their loved ones during any terrorists attacks within the last decade and my heart and thoughts are still with them. You guys will probably say that he deserved it. It is karma; what goes around, comes around. It’s one thing to be happy that he doesn’t exist anymore, but to have a street party over a man’s death really shows how sick and shallow people can be.
Osama’s life may be over but the war isn’t. People shouldn’t forget that. People shouldn’t even be celebrating right now or at all. There are still problems in Libya, Israel, Irag, Palestine and around the world that are going on, so how can people be celebrating?
