Letter From The Future…

Dear old me (present me),

I know times are looking pretty down and rough for you right now, and you feel like things ain’t going how you want to in your life but you really need to think real long and hard about things. Not everybody starts off with luck or chances or opportunities right away. For some people, it takes them a long time to get to where they want to be.

I’m writing to you because I am you, you’re future. I am what you want to be, where you want to be in life. I am doing what you’ve always wanted to do with your life. Do you want to know how I got here? I kept a positive mind, went out and kept myself busy, active and productive. I told myself that no matter what, I will get to the position that I should be in. It may take long, I know this but even though life is short, I guess you’ve got to have a little bit of patience and do what you’ve got to do until things fall into place. I can’t tell you where in the future I’m from but it’s for you to figure that out and the only way to do that isn’t by giving up.

You’ve got to keep your head up, stay positive. It’ll inspire and motivate others around you. Nobody wants a sad sorry bum who’s always down. You’ve got work to do. Either stay there and keep dreaming or work hard to where I am, to the point where you can’t tell the difference between your dreams and reality.
